“We look forward to the infrastructure program of the new administration. A lot needs to be done to enhance the mass transport system, road network, flood control system and tourism infrastructure of our country. Hopefully, more public-private partnerships will be awarded and implemented within the next six years,” he said.

The construction arm reported a 12-percent drop in revenue during the quarter but still reported an income contribution of three percent to P197 million during the period from P191 million a year ago as total construction costs fell at a faster pace.

From P3.1 billion the previous year, first quarter total construction costs declined 14 percent to P2.7 billion.
