MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc. (PSE) bagged the Best Stock Exchange in Southeast Asia award from institutional investment magazine Alpha Southeast Asia.
“We take pride in being named the Best Stock Exchange in Southeast Asia for the second time in the last three years. We share this recognition to our stakeholders who have been supportive of our projects and initiatives,” PSE president Hans Sicat said.
Alpha Southeast Asia said the PSE has strived to encourage world-class standards of disclosure and corporate governance among its listed firms as well as accomplishing its trading system shift in record time.
It also cited climb of the PSE index to historic highs last April.
Listed chemicals firm SBS Philippines Corp., meanwhile, bagged the 2015 Best Small Cap Equity Deal of the Year.
