MANILA, Philippines – Online food delivery service foodpanda Philippines recently launched foodpanda Cares as it aims to deliver health and happiness to children by supporting hunger relief.

foodpanda Cares has partnered with Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief agency which provides and distributes meal packs to children and families around the country.

In line with this, foodpanda will donate P1 to Stop Hunger Now Philippines for every order placed on the its website or mobile app. foodpanda employees will also participate in meal packaging events, and its vendors will be mobilized to donate in-kind should the need for disaster relief in times of natural calamities arise.

With its global meal packaging program, where volunteers combine rice, soy, a dehydrated vegetable blend and a vitamin composition into small meal packets, Stop Hunger Now has provided millions of nutritious meals and other life-saving aid to children and families all over the world.

“Stop Hunger Now is grateful for foodpanda’s belief in and support of our advocacy. In addition to our volunteers, our partners are one of the essential resources for us to help realize our vision,” said Stop Hunger Now Philippines Executive Director Jomar Fleras.

Stop Hunger Now was founded in 1998 in Raleigh, North Carolina and is active in 65 countries.

Already active in other foodpanda countries such as Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and India, foodpanda Cares is the leading global food ordering marketplace’s primary arm for raising awareness for social problems and contributing to causes that matter to the local community.
