MANILA, Philippines - Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a 200-room heritage resort put up by New San Jose Builders Inc. in Bagac, Bataan, is targeting its expansion toward the meetings, incentives, conventions and events (MICE) market.
With MICE tourism as a key contributor to hotel operation, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar expects its continuous development and the newly-built Hotel de Oriente Convention Centre inside will at- tract the meetings industry further.
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, just a three-hour drive from Manila via NLEX and SCTEX, presents an exclusive offering, dubbed Mice Mice Weekday, to attract this specific market to Bagac, the largest town in Bataan province where the 400-hectare resort by the sea is located. It offers rates as low as P3,100 per person on quad sharing with overnight room accommodation, use of function room, meals, spa service, and group photo opportunity. Those staying for two nights can avail the same inclusions for as low as P5,300. This exclusive deal is for a minimum of 10 rooms booked and is valid from Sunday to Thursday. As an added treat, a complimentary gift certificate shall be given for every 10 rooms booked.
Guests will enjoy the century- old houses to stay in for some quiet time to pick brains and do planning activities while enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. There are also several function rooms to choose from perfect for meetings and presentations. The resort has a huge beach area for sports and other physical activities ideal for holding team- building events which companies, schools, and other groups will take pleasure in. It is a good option for incentive tourism where guests will have a unique experience reminiscent of the Spanish colonial era of the country wherein they will be rewarded with an opportunity to appreciate the long-standing architecture, the artistry of Filipinos, and the many forgotten leisure games and activities.
In the past, the resort played host to the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit – Bataan Leg back in June 2015 when finance ministers held their functions at the large meeting halls in Hotel de Oriente Convention Centre.
Last November, the resort also hosted the Bataan International Triathlon. It has also hosted several camera club activities as the picturesque resort is like a photographer’s haven with its beautiful sceneries not to be found elsewhere.
