Cirtek unit bags multi-year contract

Iris Gonzales - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Cirtek ATS, a unit of publicly listed Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp. has bagged a multi-year manufacturing contract from Quintel, a New York-based innovator of spectrum and space-efficient base station antennas for wireless networks.

The contract, estimated to generate $10- to $20-million in revenues, will be good for a period of 12 months with the potential to double within the next two to three years.

Cirtek ATS is a pioneer in RF/wireless broadband manufacturing while Quintel is an innovator in the design, development, and delivery of network-efficient Multi-Port slimline Cellular Base Station antennas.

Quintel’s products allow wireless operators to increase capacity by supporting legacy, new and future air-interfaces with independent optimization and low interference RF patterns.

The company has been transforming wireless infrastructure with feature-rich antenna technologies that make networks more efficient and more profitable.

An innovator in low-impact and high-efficiency solutions, Quintel simplifies rollout complexity with practical antenna solutions that quickly increase capacity and coverage within diverse heterogeneous networks, enabling mobile operators to quickly and easily grow their networks and not their budget.

Cirtek ATS chief executive officer Alvin Guzon said the company is proud to partner with an industry leader.

“We are very proud to be chosen by another industry leader and one of the most experienced antenna companies in the world. It is a testament to our capabilities, reliability and expertise, and we look forward to contributing to the success of this partnership,” he said.

The partnership will provide Quintel future capacity for volume production at very competitive cost levels and most importantly with the high quality standards that Cirtek has set.
