DHL raising rates in Jan
MANILA, Philippines - DHL Express is raising its rates in the country by January in line with its move to adjust prices globally to support investments for improved services.
In a statement yesterday, DHL Express said it would implement a 4.9 percent average price increase for services in the Philippines effective Jan. 1, 2016.
Price hikes will also take effect in other countries where DHL Express currently operates.
The adjustments vary from country to country, depending on local conditions, and will apply to all customers where contracts allow. DHL Express adjusts its prices annually, taking into account inflation and other rising costs, such as additional expenses related to compliance with enhanced security regulations.
“Our annual price increase enables us to continue investing in our international time definite network and to maintain our leading service quality,” DHL Express chief executive officer Ken Allen said.
Among the major investment announcements made by the company for this year are new hubs in Brussels, Belgium, and Singapore, and an expanded hub in Cincinnati, USA.
The firm also continues to pour in funds in the Middle East and Africa, to add freighter aircraft to strengthen intercontinental
connections.
It is likewise implementing a Certified International Specialist program aimed at providing employees with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
