MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the country’s largest business organization, is backing the strengthening of a business council for the Philippines and Netherlands.
In a statement, the PCCI said the executive board of the Philippines-Netherlands Business Council (PNBC) has been working closely with the Netherlands Embassy to intensify activities that support the economic ties between the two countries.
The PCCI said PNBC would be re-launched this week at the residence of the ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to the Philippines.
The strengthened PNBC will improve access of individuals and Filipino companies which are interested in doing business with or in Netherlands.
The PCCI said PNBC has already secured the support of Dutch companies such as Philips, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, East-West Seed, and DSM.
“The PNBC will continue to work closely with the PCCI and the Netherlands Embassy to provide opportunities to promote and enhance bilateral relations between the Philippines and the Netherlands,” the PCCI said.
The PNBC has lined up a number of projects and activities in the next few months including trade missions between the two countries.
