LTFRB’s road IT infra project rolls out

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is inviting interested companies to participate in the pre-qualification and bidding for the P298 million Road Transport Information Technology (IT) infrastructure project (Phase II) of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

The public private partnership (PPP) project involves the upgrade of the existing IT infrastructure of LTFRB.

The project will include moving to computerized from manual processess as well as development and supply of network infrastructure (hardware), database, and applications (software) of the LTFRB.

The move to computerize LTFRB’s processes is intended to clean up the agency’s existing data and enhance collection and processing of information.

It is also envisioned to facilitate integration within the LTFRB and among related agencies.

The project aims is to lessen the processing time for transactions, improve the public’s access to information and provide channels for feedback.
