Greenfield to invest P20B in Mandaluyong CBD
MANILA, Philippines - Prime real estate developer Greenfield Development Corp. is set to invest P20 billion in Greenfield District, its masterplanned community in the heart of Mandaluyong City.
Mandaluyong’s central location and proximity to major thoroughfares makes it conveniently located near business hubs, schools, hospitals, and lifestyle centers. Nestled among the Ortigas, Makati and Bonifacio Global City central business districts, it is a prime location for development with infrastructure improvement and expansion on the upswing.
“We will further the development here in Greenfield District to show confidence in a city where we first ventured into real estate,” said Duane A.X. Santos, executive vice president and general manager of Greenfield Development Corp.
The company first built the iconic EDSA Central, now a hub of commerce and transportation, in the 1970s. “We will continuously build and develop the land to provide high-quality amenities and open spaces to further improve the cityscape of the area and give more to our clients,” he added.
The 12.8-hectare expanse of the masterplanned district is set to be home to a vast network of mixed-use commercial and retail buildings, open spaces, and residential communities. It is geared to remake this part of the metropolis as the first smart and connected district in the Philippines.
Two residential developments, Twin Oaks Place and Zitan, as well as a BPO office along Mayflower Street, are built with technologically advanced infrastructure and environmentally sensitive planning. These developments aim to showcase the vision of comfortable living driven by technology and innovation, according to Santos.
Twin Oaks Place will be fitted with fiber-optic technology that allows for a “smart” automated home as well as unparalleled digital interconnectivity. Zitan is also fitted with fiber-to-the-floor (FTTF) mechanics, and offers residents direct access to the MRT and other modes of public transportation.
To minimize traffic in the area, Greenfield District alloted a generous portion of its space for green areas, pocket parks, roads and walkways. The entire site is envisioned to be pedestrian-friendly with the help of its interconnected, above-ground walkways. Vehicles can also navigate and avoid traffic through its secondary interconnected underground road network.
Santos said that the work they have done in Mandaluyong is in line with the city’s burgeoning progress. “The city is ready to see a development like the Greenfield District,” he explains. “It will be an oasis within a bustling urban destination where people have access to the best amenities and lifestyle comforts.”
“We will definitely continue to innovate, and we start here in Mandaluyong,” he concludes.
