Business Analysis Seminar 2015: Defining organizational requirements, identifying organizational solutions

The Philippine Star

Business Analysis is a discipline that enables organizations to improve and do better business. It enables positive change in the over-all organizational set-up through definition of needs and recommendation of appropriate solutions. The set of tasks and techniques used to perform business analysis are defined in ‘A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®Guide).’

In this course, participants will learn how to build real-world models that showed complex business requirements to be used as inputs in defining solutions (both functional and non-functional). A holistic approach in identifying requirements will be based on the overall enterprise architecture requirements.

With the increasing complexity on how to identify solutions to business needs, this course will cover how Business Analysis methods, tools and techniques are being used in the creation and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture. Enterprise Architecture contains four domains, namely - Business, Data, Application and Technology Architectures. The four domain architectures use business analysis in the definition, elicitation, and analysis of various types of requirements. By using business analysis tools and techniques, all systems requirements are aligned and in sync.
