PTT opens biggest gas station in Phl
MANILA, Philippines - Top executives of Thailand’s PTT Public Co. Ltd. (PTTPLC) led the recent opening of PTT’s first Platinum station in the Philippines.
PTTPLC senior executive vice president for oil business Chavalit Punthong formal opening of the Platinum station, the Thai oil firm’s biggest station so far in the country.
PTT Philippines Corp. president and chief executive officer Sukanya Seriyothin said the 5,000 square-meter PTT Lucena has been classified as Platinum station because it is bigger compared to other regular PTT service stations in the country and its structures are similar with PTT stations in Thailand.
The P90-million one-stop-service station also has non-oil business establishments such as a convenience store, food shops and restaurants, and PTT’s signature coffee shop, the Café Jungle.
The station will also have a “first class comfort room” called Restroom 20, considered one of the luxurious toilets in gasoline stations in the Philippines.
Restroom 20 is a fully air-conditioned toilet with lounge and de-luxe fixtures.
The opening of PTT Lucena will serve as a kick off for PTT Philippines’ expansion for this year. PTT Philippines is also set to hold this year the ground-breaking for its bigger station, the two-hectare SCTEX project in Concepcion, Tarlac.
The company is accelerating its expansion program to achieve its target of putting up with 150 stations in the Philippines in the next four years.
