RLC to open terminal hub in Pampanga

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land Corp. is set to open Robinsons Starmills inter-regional terminal hub in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The one-stop transport hub is being developed on a 1,760-square meter lot in Robinsons Starmills.

The project is the third such hub developed by Robinsons Land which aims to help make travelling easier for the communities it serves. Whenever possible, the company aims to build a transport terminal in every mall.

Other Robinsons transport hubs are in Robinsons Novaliches and Robinsons Place Dumaguete while a hub is also being planned for Robinsons Place Antipolo.

The Robinsons Starmills transport terminal will be different from other such projects because it will interconnect Regions 1, 2, 3 with NCR and even Region 4 and 5. It will also host a shuttle service to and from the Clark airport to make air travel more seamless.

Robinsons Starmills will build a lounge for those making the commute to the airport and even offers free parking in a well-lit and guarded lot so travellers can leave their vehicles and take the shuttle to the airport.

The mall’s location makes it ideal for a transport hub since it is at the center of two national highways: the North Luzon Expressway (near the San Fernando Exit) and the Jose Abad Santos Ave.

This will be the new integrated transport terminal for City of San Fernando since most bus companies have their terminals in Dau Mabalacat, Pampanga. Currently only Victory Liner has an existing terminal in the city.

The Robinsons Starmills terminal will be open to all bus lines and will even have ticketing office so commuters can book and pay there instead of having to go the bus line’s office.

Once is it open, passengers will have the convenience of choice between buses of Victory Liner, Bataan Transit, First North Luzon, Genesis, Saulog Transit and Balanga Transit which will be travelling around Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, La Union, Pangasinan, and Benguet.

The terminal will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aside from the four ticket booths, the terminal will also have a convenience store, the airport lounge, a hobby shop, an appliance store, three ATM machines, and 12 food and services kiosks.  Travelers may buy ‘pasalubong’ of local Pampanga delicacies at Fiesta Kapampangan or shop in the Outlet Stores for discounted footwear and apparel coming from international brands like Mango, Guess and Havaianas.

Soon to be using the hub will be Philtranco and Genesis which will provide the airport shuttle service from the Starmills hub to and from Clark International Airport 24 hours a day.
