Peso sheds 3 centavos on Thursday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso shed 3 centavos against the dollar on Thursday, closing at 45 from the previous day's 44.97.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $736.9 million, lower than the $517 million posted on Wednesday.

The peso opened Thursday at 44.98.
