Peso gains 2 centavos midday Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso gained 2 centavos midday Tuesday, settling at 44.78 from the previous day's 44.8.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $126.4 million in the morning, lower than the $148.7 million.

The peso opened Tuesday at 44.8.
