Globe expands P599 flat data roaming rate to 75 countries

MANILA, Philippines - Ayala-led Globe Telecom Inc. is reaching out to more Filipinos living and working abroad by expanding the coverage of its flat daily rate data roaming services to 40 more countries.

This brings to 75 the number of countries covered by the P599 daily standard rate for data roaming being offered by Globe to empower more Filipino travelers who fly around the world with its widest coverage for affordable and worry-free data roaming services.

Coco Domingo, vice president for Platinum Business and Roaming of Globe, said popular tourist destinations including Japan, France, Brazil, Greece, and the Netherlands are including in the list of 40 countries.

 “The inclusion of 40 additional countries is a testament to our commitment to offer more Globe customers a worry-free mobile surfing experience wherever they are around the world,” Domingo said.

The P599 flat rate ensures the 2.1 million postpaid customers of Globe access to data roaming for full 24 hours upon initial use, without the need to register to other promos. It also promotes a hassle-free experience without the need to memorize registration keywords, take note of multiple data roaming rates, or track different time zones to avail of the best offers.

 “In this day and age where Internet connection and social media are part of one’s travel essentials, we find it fitting to expand the coverage of our default data roaming rate of P599 per day and benefit more users as they travel abroad for business or pleasure.
