Stocks close 0.002 pct lower

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Philippine shares closed 0.002 percent lower today.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index declined by 0.18 point to 7,201.88. The all-share index, however, rose by 2.99 points, or 0.07 percent, to 4,259.69.

Trading volume reached 1.68 billion shares worth P7.16 billion ($163.12 million).

There were 86 gainers, 82 losers while 51 stocks closed flat.
