Phoenix Pet opens Batangas facility
MANILA, Philippines - Phoenix Petroterminals and Industrial Park Corp. (PPIPC), a subsidiary of Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, inaugurated recently its new port facility in Batangas.
The facility would enable locators to accept more shipments for their business, Phoenix Petroleum said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday.
The facility is in line with the ongoing construction of the power plant of South Luzon Thermal Energy Corp. (SLTEC) expected to be operational by the end of 2014.
“The material receiving facility of SLTEC is equipped with hoppers, conveyor system, and sprinklers that can discharge its coal shipments at the pier deck direct to its coal yards for faster discharging and environment-friendly operations,” Phoenix said.
Furthermore, the oil company said the new port facility enhances its capability to accept more shipments from its locators and prospective locators. The industrial park is an ideal location for companies that are looking for an area to put up their manufacturing plant, warehouses, storage tanks and other facilities, especially those that are reliant on water transport.
Phoenix Petroterminals is the landowner and developer of the 94-hectare park located in the three barangays of Salong, Puting Bato West and Lumbang Calzada in Calaca, Batangas. It has its own port facilities situated along the deep-water portions of Balayan Bay.
It is home to the steel manufacturing plant of Steel Asia Manufacturing Inc., bulk solid warehouse of Arvin International Marketing Inc., chemical storage facilities of Asian Chemicals Corp. and Philippine Prosperity Chemicals Inc., the power plant of South Luzon Thermal Energy Corp. and the biggest petroleum depot of Phoenix Petroleum nationwide.
More new prospective locators have also chosen PPIP as their strategic location to put up their new businesses.
Phoenix Petroterminals is 100 percent owned by Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, the country’s leading independent petroleum company.
