MoneyGram names new senior reg’l director for Asia
MANILA, Philippines - Yogesh Sangle has been named MoneyGram’s senior regional director for Asia. In this role, he is responsible for leading MoneyGram’s aggressive growth for the Asia region.
Sangle brings in 17 years of experience in banking and payments across Asia Pacific, together with strong domain knowledge in marketing, sales and product management coupled with expertise in online payments and digital marketing.
Sangle joins MoneyGram from PayPal, Asia Pacific where he held the position of regional director – consumer marketing since 2010. At PayPal he set up the consumer marketing team and built a performance marketing approach across the region.
Prior to this, he held positions with Barclays Bank Plc., India as director and head of credit cards from 2007 to 2010, and also held various positions with Citibank N.A., Asia Pacific, including director, portfolio management, and head of business development & sales, from 2000-2007 working across the bank’s 12 Asia Pacific markets.
Sangle has an MBA from the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business, a Masters in Management Studies (Marketing), and a Bachelor of Engineering from Bombay University.
