MANILA, Philippines - The peso improved by 9 centavos against the dollar midday Monday, settling at 43.68 from the previous day's 43.77.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $202.9 million in the morning, lower than the $497.2 million posted the same period on Friday.
The peso opened the week at 43.73.
