MANILA, Philippines - The value hotel chain of property developer Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) has ventured into Ortigas Center, taking advantage of business travellers in the key central business district (CBD).
Go Hotels has started commercial operations in Ortigas CBD, its third branch in Metro Manila and eighth nationwide.
“The Ortigas Center branch will serve the large number of business travelers as well as tourists visiting the central business district and the nearby malls,” Go Hotels general manager Elizabeth D. Gregorio said.
“With the opening of Go Hotels Ortigas Center in the heart of the central business district, we can now expand the chain’s market portfolio by increasing market share of businessmen and tourists on the go who are looking for essential travel amenities at more affordable rates,” she added.
Located at the ground to fourth level of RLC’s Cyberscape Alpha office building tower along Garnet Road, the 198-room Go Hotels Ortigas Center will offer guests, building tenants and other corporate clients a convenient and affordable place to stay.
Gregorio said while most hotel rooms in Ortigas Center are priced at P3,000 and up, Go Hotels is reasonably priced at an average of P2,000 per night.
“Those who book early may even get the rooms for as low as P88 plus value-added tax,” Gregorio said.
Next only to Makati CBD, the Ortigas Center is one of the most important CBDs in the Philippines. It hosts major commercial centers, financial institutions, office buildings and numerous corporations.
Most of Go Hotels’ customers are travelers from within and outside Metro Manila as well as from overseas.
For the convenience of guests, Go Hotel Ortigas Center will have a restaurant, spa and laundry tenants while the ground floor of Cyberscape Alpha features retail spaces occupied by food and beverage outlets, a Ministop convenience store and a branch of BDO Unibank.
“Go Hotels Ortigas Center is also just a five-minute walk to the restaurants and cafes of Robinsons Galleria mall, which also has a wide range of shopping and entertainment options,” Gregorio said.
With the opening of the Ortigas Center branch, the Go Hotels chain now has now more than 1,000 rooms in eight hotels nationwide. Other branches are located in EDSA-Mandaluyong, Tacloban, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa, Iloilo and Otis-Manila.
Late this year, Go Hotels will open its first branch in Mindanao located at the Robinsons Place Butuan complex with 102 rooms.
RLC is also expanding its Go Hotel brand to 1,122 rooms in fiscal year 2014 ending in September and 1,411 rooms in fiscal year 2015. Go Hotels ended fiscal year 2013 with 757 rooms.
