MANILA, Philippines - The peso capped the week by moving sideways against the dollar, closing at 43.79 from the previous day's 43.82.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $713 million, lower than the $887.2 million posted on Wednesday.
The peso opened Friday at 43.78.
