PFA prepares for Franchise Asia 2014

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) will use this year’s edition of the multi- faceted Franchise Asia Philippines (FAP) to further intensify the franchising industry’s preparation for the Asean economic integration at the end of 2015.

“While the AEC will pose challenges to the Philippine franchising sector, we believe that the opportunities far outweigh the challenges provided the sector prepares for this new chapter in our history.  We have to raise our global competitiveness so that we can continue to grow – not only domestically – but even beyond our borders, PFA president Franklin Go said.

“Franchise Asia Philippines 2014 is specifically focused on raising the global competitiveness of Philippine franchises in light of the impending Asean integration,” explained Dr. Alan Escalona, overall chairman of FAP 2014.   With this, the PFA- the country’s premier and only internationally-recognized franchise association,  is using the overall theme “Conquering an Integrated Asean” for the FAP 2014 slated on 16 to 20 July 2014 at the SMX Convention Center.  FAP, organized annually by PFA, is the country’s most important capacity-building platform and enabling agent for the Philippine franchising sector.

Noted franchise expert Greg Nathan will be the program speaker and facilitator for this year’s CFE program.
