MANILA, Philippines - The peso capped the week by shedding 9 centavos against the dollar, closing at 43.75 from the previous day's 43.66.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $633.2 million, lower than the $795.8 million posted on Thursday.
The peso opened Friday at 43.77.
