OceanaGold achieves milestone

MANILA, Philippines - OceanaGold Philippines, Inc., a subsidiary of OceanaGold in  Australia, announced achieving 10-million man-hours of zero lost-time injury (LTI), an incredible achievment by its nearly 1,000-strong staff at its Didipio Mine operations in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya. Brennan Lang, general manager of Didipio operations, said: “This is an outstanding achievement, the most amazing result I have ever been associated with in all my 30 years in the mining industry. It is something we at OceanaGold cannot but be proud of.” Brennan attributed the achievement of zero loss of man-hours by OceanaGold staff to its continuous training and education program which cultivates the mindset and principle that all incidents and injuries are preventable.
