MANILA, Philippines - Jabez Infinity Group Inc., a company which provides an innovative loyalty-based rewards program, under the brand name Zing Rewards, expects to hit 500 merchant partners within one year of its launch in the Philippines.
Zing Rewards president and co-founder Ed Limjoco said they are looking to revolutionize the local rewards programs to merchant partners by offering retention marketing thru a free loyalty/rewards program.
The company is also looking at distributing some 100,000 cards in its first year of operations.
Limjoco said they also plan to include market research on each target market as well as advertising platforms via the program’s website and other social media touch points.
During the loyalty program launch over the weekend, Limjoco said “we want to turn customers not just into consumers of our brands but into brand evangelists and ambassadors spreading the excitement and joy of our brands. Having said that, we’ve initially gotten on board 58 merchant partners (or 73 physical brick and mortar stores) generally found in Metro Manila and one in Tagaytay.â€
Limjoco said Zing Rewards has managed to tap contacts and generate referrals in Metro Manila and parts of Northern Mindanao.
Next month, the company is beefing up merchant acquisition in other key areas such as Cebu and Davao. Other locations in the Greater Manila Area are also prime targets.
“At the pace we’re going, it wouldn’t be a surprise for the program to hit 500 merchant partners before the year ends,†Limjoco said.
According to Limjoco, Zing Rewards differ from other loyalty/rewards program as this will not entail upfront costs and lock-in period for merchant partners.
Zing, he said, aims to take the lead in driving social change in behalf of its merchants and consumers by donating a portion of these rewards.
Sabina Santiago from Carmelo’s Wagyu Steaks (one of the pioneer merchant partners of Zing Rewards) believes the potential of this rewards program is limitless.
“The process was painless to begin with – a hassle-free set-up. The terms were reasonable and sustainable based on our business model. Plus, I don’t think it’ll be hard to apply to our merchants like myself. But, the point is – we are rewarding our patrons as they spend to basically enjoy life. The coupons and ‘deal-site’ integration gives them little surprises that customers enjoy. It’s an experiential thing which gives us the opportunity to change the perception as being forgettable and unexciting to something exciting to look forward to,†she said.
If you are a member of the Zing Rewards program, you will be able to receive cashback on every purchase made in accredited merchants. Members will also receive more points by promoting the brand to their family and friends.
