Japanese restaurant opens at Fisher Mall

MANILA, Philippines - Fishing magnate Roberto Simeon “Bobby” del Rosario is opening the first branch of his family’s flagship Japanese restaurant brand at the iconic Fisher Mall in Quezon City.

The new Morita Japanese Restaurant located at the upper basement corner of Fisher Mall has a 150-160 seating capacity with three functions rooms: a five-seater, 12-seater and 14-seater.

It serves authentic Japanese flavor, with the kitchen manned by famous Japanese chef Tom Yamasaki and co-chef Danny Madlangbayan.

Overseeing the restaurant’s operation is Dino de Jesus, head of Fisher Mall’s food subsidiaries.

Morita Japanese Restaurant’s menu includes more than 70 dishes, with salmon wasabi cream sauce and Morita celebration noodles among the house specialties.

The Morita Japanese Restaurant also has reserved a prime space for its sushi bar where it will showcase and display how sushi is made.

Del Rosario is the owner and chairman of Irma Fishing and Trading, the country’s biggest commercial fishing firm which supplies fresh catch to local and international market. He also also owns and chairs Mallers Management Corp. (MMC) which operates Fisher Mall.  Del Rosario dedicates the restaurant to the late Tomiya Morita-san whom he described as a truly great man born and raised in Nagazaki, Japan.
