Louella Desiderio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Arvato has opened a new facility in Clark in Pampanga in line with its aim to double its workforce in the next three years.

Arvato opened a new 2,900-square meter facility in Clark to provide additional capacity for existing and new clients.

The new facility which would employ 500 people by the end of this year, would initially provide multi-channel English-speaking customer service support for the North American region. It would be part of the firm’s global delivery network of nearly 100 sites across 21 countries.

Arvato country general manager Fara Haron said the firm decided to expand here as the country is seen as a key strategic location given the availability of skilled employees and secure infrastructure needed to deliver best practice of BPO and customer relations management (CRM) frameworks for leading global organizations.

Clark was selected as the location for the expansion due to its strong supply of a young, well-educated workforce.

Arvato has launched a recruitment drive to fill positions including customer service agents, team leaders, subject matter experts and administrative and support staff.

“This expansion will provide more capacity to service our existing client base and a strong platform for growth as the Philippines continues to emerge as a major outsourcing destination,” Haron said.

The expansion is also part of the firm’s plan to double its workforce in the next three years.

At present, Arvato has 1,000 employees in the Philippines.

Aside from the Clark facility, the firm has an office in Eastwood in Quezon City.

Arvato, a leading global service provider, has a staff of over 65,000 involved in the design and implementation of tailor-made solutions for a wide range of business processes along integrated service chains for business customers all over the world.

The firm’s services include data management, customer care, CRM services, supply chain management, digital distribution, financial services and customized IT (information technology) as well as creation and distribution of printed materials and digital storage media.
