MANILA, Philippines - The peso appreciated slightly against the dollar midday Tuesday, settling at 44.542 from the 44.58 posted the previous day.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $513.7 million, higher than the $293 million posted the same period on Monday.
The peso opened on Tuesday at 44.5.
