Peso slides on Thursday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso slid against the dollar on Thursday, closing at 45.32 compared to 45.205 posted on Wednesday.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $846.7 million, greater than the $719.4 million posted the previous day.

The peso opened at 45.33 on Thursday.
