Peso slips further, hits P45

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine peso further weakened on Wednesday, closing the trading day at P45.

On Tuesday, the peso closed at P44.815 against the dollar.

The peso opened the trading day at P44.85, also its best performance during the day.
