22 flights canceled amid bad weather

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The low pressure area prevailing in Visayas and Mindanao prompted the cancelation of 22 flights on Tuesday, the Manila International Airport- Media Affairs Division said.

Flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, Naga and Catarman were called off earlier in the day due to poor weather conditions, followed by Manila to Cagayan de Oro flights from Zest Air and Cebu Pacific Air flights from Manila to Catarman and back.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration earlier said Mindanao, along with Bicol, Eastern and Central Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
