Buenaventura named AG&P chairman

MANILA, Philippines - The board of Atlantic Gulf & Pacific Co. of Manila Inc. (AG&P) has appointed Mr. Cesar Buenaventura as chairman replacing Joseph Sigelman. 

Sigelman is the subject of legal proceedings being carried out by authorities in the United States regarding matters related to another company with which he was formerly associated. 

AG&P is neither affiliated with, nor connected with that company.  AG&P is not a party to or otherwise involved in these proceedings.  

The operations of AG&P and the management team led by Marcial Morales Jr., president and chief executive officer, are unaffected by this action.  AG&P, if requested, will cooperate fully with all relevant authorities.
