PLDT investor relations effort tops poll among Phl firms

MANILA, Philippines - For the fifth consecutive year, leading telecoms firm PLDT is again recognized for having the Best Investor Relations by a Philippine company at the 2013 Investor Relations (IR) Magazine South East Asia Awards held in Singapore.

PLDT bested some of the country’s top listed companies as it bagged the award for “Best Investor Relations by a Philippine company.” With the poll including over 200 companies in Asia, PLDT also holds the distinction of being a finalist in the awards’ top categories including Best Corporate Literature, Technologies & Telecoms, and Best Corporate Governance and Disclosure.

Under the MVP Group of companies, Metro Pacific was also a finalist under the Best IR by a Philippine company, and other categories such as the Grand Prix for best overall IR for small or mid-cap companies, Diversified industrials category, while Metro Pacific’s David Nicol was also a finalist in the Best IR by a CFO category.

Now on its ninth year, the IR Magazine Awards & Conference- South East Asia 2012 remains as one of the most anticipated events of the year for the IR industry in Asia. The winners of the IR Magazine Awards are determined by a comprehensive and independent three-month-long research conducted by 370 buy-side and sell-side analysts and portfolio managers.

The process consists of a series of surveys and interviews that help determine the best corporate IR teams across a range of categories.
