Substandard Anglebars

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 4A-Rizal led the destruction of 22 tons of substandard angle bars worth P1 million last month. These substandard angle bars were confiscated last year by the monitoring enforcement team led by DTI – Rizal  team leader Cleotilde Duran, enforcement team officers Conception Ramos and Joanna Caldito; and representatives of industry groups Philippine Product Safety and Quality Foundation Inc. (PPSQF) and Steel Angles Shapes and Section Manufacturers Association of the Philippines Inc. from New Manhattan Lumber and Hardware, Bee Coco Lumber and Trading and E. De Jesus General Merchandise.
