MANILA, Philippines - The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) on Monday assured its clients that its automated teller machines (ATM) nationwide will be accessible on for All Saints' Day.

While most of its kiosks will be closed on November 1, BPI said that its 2,000 ATMs are ready to service customers during the holiday.

The public, however, are urged "to transact early enough" to avoid the rush and long queues at ATMs installed along major highways.

"If possible, please withdraw at ATMs in the city as the ATMs along the expressways are busiest during holidays," the bank said.

It also encouraged its clients to use their debit cards to purchase items through the express payment system or EPS in select stores and restaurants to avoid waiting in line.

The bank said BPI account holders who want to deposit during the long weekend can do so in nearly 300 Express Deposit Machines available nationwide.

Branches of BPI and BPI Famly Savings Bank with weekend banking operations will also be open, the company said. - Camille Diola
