MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Saturday announced that its maiden flight from Russia will arrive in the country on Sunday.
PAL said tht Flight PR 761 from Vladivostok will arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 9:30 a.m.
The airlines' communications group said that it is a chartered flight as a result of the Department of Tourism's cooperation with Biletur, Far East Russia's biggest tour operation.
The flight will carry 120 tourists from Russia, who will return to their country also via PAL.
“This is a very big opportunity for us to allow the Russians see the beauty of the Philippines,†PAL said in a statement.
It said that the chartered flights will last until April 2014.
PAL is flying over European countries again after the European Union lifted last July the ban it imposed on several Philippine airlines in 2010.
