Sun Life launches 5th SunPiology

MANILA, Philippines - Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Incorporated teams up anew with one of  the country’s top celebrities and Sun Life ambassador, Piolo Pascual in raising  funds to help those in need through SunPiology: Sunset Color Run which will take place at the Bonifacio Global City on Nov. 23.

Set to commence  as the sun sets, this year’s SunPiology is a “color run” wherein  participants  will  be  showered with colored powder at designated stations. The event  will be capped with an after-run awards show dubbed “Star Magic Gives Back” special.

“We’re definitely  proud of how SunPiology has evolved since its inception and is now one of the  most anticipated fundraising activities in the country,” said  Sun  Life  chief  marketing officer Mylene Lopa. “Sun Life believes that everyone deserves a  brighter  life, and we aim to be instruments in  ensuring  that our  less privileged countrymen will also experience the same. ”

This marks the 5th year that the country’s top insurer is partnering with Piolo. A staunch supporter of  education for less priviledged children, Piolo, together with his family, is the founder of  the Hebreo 12:1 Foundation which is among the beneficiaries of the upcoming event, along with ABS-CBN’s Lingkod Kapamilya of ABS-CBN, Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC),  Sanctuary Center, and Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines.

Over a million pesos has already been raised in the past five years that Sun Life and Piolo have been partnering for SunPiology.

“It’s always an overwhelming feeling  to  be  able to give back to the community,”  Piolo  said. “We hope that more people will join the run this year so we can help more kids have a brighter future – that is exactly what Sun Life is all about.”
