PSE hires new HR head

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has hired a new head for personnel three months after it axed the department’s former chief.

In a disclosure, the operator of the country’s stock exchange said its board of directors appointed Isabelle Ambat as head of the Human Resources & Administration Division (HRAD).

Ambat will occupy the post with the rank of assistant vice-president effective immediately, the PSE said.

Late in June, the bourse fired Sebastian E. Olaivar Jr. as HRAD head “due to gross and habitual neglect of duties and serious misconduct, arising from his failure to perform his tasks and his prolonged absences.”
