Know more about the new BOT Law IRR

MANILA, Philippines - Are you updated or outdated? The changes in the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Build-Operate-and-Transfer (BOT) Law that took effect in October 2012 will have a significant impact on how we all transact or implement our deals, whether we are in the government or private sector.

This one-of-a-kind seminar will feature two experts in the field of PPP Transactions: Alberto C. Agra who holds the distinction of the only certified PPP specialist and certified regulations specialist in Asia. He was the former Secretary of Justice, Solicitor General and Government Corporate Counsel. He has written three authoritative books on the seminar topic namely, (a) Knowing PPP, BOT and JV: A Legal Annotation and Model PPP Code for LGU (b) Caselaw on Local Autonomy and Local Governance; and (c)PPP for LGUs. Presently, he is the president of Forensic Law and Policy Strategies, a private think tank offering services in the fields of policy, law reform, advocacy and governance. 

 PPP expert Agra will explain point-by-point changes and comparing the previous BOT Law IRR to the new one. The seminar will comprehensively provide clarifications including treatment of unsolicited proposals, incentives and government undertakings, subsidies, right of way, guarantees, accession and divestiture, charges, contract approval and implementation, climate change mitigation on infrastructure projects and many more!  Participants will also be provided with updates on the status of the PPP projects present and future opportunities and undertakings.
