MANILA, Philippines - Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) is opening a new dealership in Palawan to expand its presence in the country.
In a statement, MMPC said the new dealership is located on a 2,495 square-meter lot in Brgy. San Manuel in Puerto Princesa City.
The new dealership which was put up in partnership with Maximotors Corp., boasts of a four-car display showroom.
It also has 11 service bays which can accommodate various servicing requirements.
“With Palawan’s great tourism and growing economy, MMPC is confident that Maximotors Corp. will be able to attain its business targets,†MMPC said.
Last month, MMPC announced that it expects to open a new dealership in October in Buttong Airport Road in Ilocos Norte.
Meanwhile, another dealership which started construction last month is going to be put up along Maharlika Highway in Calamba, Laguna and will be completed by January next year.
MMPC now has 46 dealer showrooms all over the country.
It sells vehicle model: Mirage, Mirage G4, Lancer EX, L300, L200, Adventure, ASX, Strada, Fuzion, Montero Sport and Pajero.
MMPC is the country’s second best-selling automotive brand as it accounted for 23 percent of the local market in the January to August period.
As of end-August, the company’s sales reached 28,115 units, up by 23.5 percent from the 22,761 units sold in the same period last year.
Given the recent introduction of the Mirage G4 in the market as well as plans to provide upgrades to existing vehicle models, MMPC is aiming to hit record-high sales by the end of this year.
MMPC achieved its highest record sales in 1996 when it sold 36,533 units.
