Stocks bounce back to 6,200 level after rallying for 4th straight day

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Stock Exchange index rallied for the fourth straight day by bouncing back to the 6,200 level on Wednesday, improving by 2.06 percent or 125.18 points to close at 6,214.90.

The broader all-shares index similarly grew, posting a 1.45-percent or 53.86-point gain to close at 3,774.39.

All subindices were in the green, led by the property sector which jumped by 3.25 percent or 73.79 points to 2,344.39.

Total volume hit 906.84 million with total value at P9.22 billion. Advancers outpaced decliners 94 to 47, while 41 issues stayed the same.

Major winners included Vitarich Corp., Intergrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. and iRipple Inc. while shares of MJCI Investments, Inc., 2GO Group, Inc. and United Paragon Mining Corp. declined the most.
