JPMorgan Chase (Phl) receives the 2013 Apolinario Mabini Award
MANILA, Philippines - JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPMC) received the 2013 Employer of the Year and Disabled-Friendly Establishment of the Year Gold Award at the 27th Awarding Ceremonies of the Apolinario Mabini Awards at the Heroes Hall, Malacanan Palace, last Aug. 28, 2013.
The leading global financial services firm was recognized for its outstanding record of hiring Persons with Disabilities (PWD) within its Global Service Center and promoting awareness of their capabilities through its business resource group, Access Ability.
In addition, the firm received the gold award for ‘Disabled-Friendly Establishment for the Year’ as it ensures that its premises are most responsive to the needs of persons with disabilities by providing services which make their access to and stay within JPMorgan Chase’s Net Plaza facility safe and convenient.
In the speech of President Benigno S. Aquino III, he commended JPMorgan Chase for its efforts to recognize the capabilities of persons with disabilities and in helping bridge the gap for PWDs to lead dignified lives as employees of a global financial services firm.
