Brother bullish on Phl printer market

MANILA, Philippines - The double-digit growth posted by the domestic printing market at the start of the year has strengthened earlier projections of an all-time high growth year-on-year for consumer  and commercial inkjet laser printing devices. This was disclosed by market intelligence provider International Data Corporation (IDC).

The upbeat market trend characterized by renewed end-user usage behavior has prompted Brother International Corp. to launch a new range of monochrome laser printer/multi-function center models designed for the consumers and business owners.

The new products were rolled out last month by Brother International Corp. Philippines (BICP), the sales and marketing facility in the country of Brother Industries, a global leader in home and business IT peripherals that focuses on the “customer-first” approach.

The four new models, HL-1110, DCP-1510, MFC-1810 and MFC-1815 are tailored to meet the needs of consumers and small-medium businesses for reliability, high quality and cost-effective prints.

As in all other Brother printing equipment and printing solutions, the new models bear the trademark of reliability that Brother is known for among businesses worldwide. The new models, likewise, offer low cost ownership and low acquisition costs which enable consumers to no longer sacrifice quality for affordability.

The introduction of the new monochrome laser printer/multi-function center models is Brother’s response to the needs of emerging markets like individual consumers and small and medium businesses.

The Philippines is one of the first launch markets after China and Singapore. “With a population of almost 100 million and an expanding economy, the Philippines is one of our priority markets,” Takeo Shimazu, BICP president, said. “The local market size may be small today, but the potential is certainly one of the biggest.”, Shimazu, who is also managing director of Brother International Corporation Singapore, added.
