Clark airport gets ISO award
CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines – The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) has achieved a first in Philppine aviation by bagging the ISO 9001:2008 Re-Certification Award from the TUV Rheinland Philippines Inc., under the category of international passenger facilitation and internal operating processes.
Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) President and CEO Victor Jose Luciano said the ISO status was the first such award to be given to an aviation company in the country.
He commended the “hard work and dedication of the men and women of CIAC especially the Quality Management System (QMS) in bringing quality service for the improvement of the passenger facilitation and operating processes of the corporation.â€
“We are very proud of the men and women of CIAC for their dedication and hard work to improve the services of the corporation,†Luciano said during the recent simple awarding ceremonies held at the Vegas Hall Convention Center, Widus Hotel.
Luciano personally received the ISO 9001:2008 Re-Certification Award given by Tristan Arwen Loveres, chief operating officer of the TUV Rheinland Philippines Inc,.
CIAC got the nod of the TUV Rheinland Philippines Inc., after successfully completing all the requirements under ISO 9001:2008 since it was certified in 2010.
Loveres said that “CIAC leads the way in complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, the first time for an aviation company to achieve this award.â€
Loveres said that “this is a continuous process of monitoring the regulations and processes of the corporation so as to provide better service to the clients as well as passengers of Clark Airport.â€
Luciano also recognized CIAC internal auditors who took part in the internal audit of regulations and processes of the corporation for the last three years.
CIAC operates the Clark International Airport (CRK) which has bustled with international and local flights since 2001. The airport posted 1.3 million passengers in 2012 .
