Acer wins 4th Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands award

MANILA, Philippines - For the 4th year in a row, Acer (Philippines), Inc., a subsidiary of global IT giant Acer Inc., won at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand 2013 awards.

Acer Philippines again won the “Gold” award under the Personal Computer/Desktop/Notebook/Tablet category, an honor it held since the 2010 edition of the annual awards conducted by Reader’s Digest, one of the world’s most favorite magazines.

The prestigious award is also very timely since Acer celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and the fact that it also recently launched its most innovative and quality-packed lineup of products positioned as tools for the modern-day explorers among Filipino IT enthusiasts.

Now on its 15th year, the Readers’ Digest Asia’s Trusted Brands survey is considered the premier consumer-based and international measure of brand preference. It is carried out in seven markets, namely Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and of course the Philippines. Those who topped the survey, awarded with either a “Gold” or “Platinum” award, came from various industries like food and beverage, personal products, finance, motoring related, consumer electronics, health and personal care, household products, retail, education, transport, travel and telecommunications, and were chosen based on the six attributes of trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation, and corporate social responsibility.
