Singapore’s branding guru sets another seminar in Phl

MANILA, Philippines - As an offshoot of the highly successful seminar “The Road to Brand Growth: Building Successful Brands” staged last March 7 by U-Franchise Sales and Management Inc, Asia’s award-winning brand guru Luke Lim, founder and CEO of A.S. Louken, will return to Manila to conduct the “Brand Mastery Programme for CEOs” at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati City from April 25 to 26.

In the recent branding seminar last March 7 at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City, nearly 200 business owners, largely the who’s who in Philippine business, came to hear Lim speak about how he trailblazed today’s most successful Asian brands such as BreadTalk, Marie France, Swatch, Charles & Keith, Philips, Fila, Pho Hoa, Toast Box, Ben & Jerry’s, and many other famous global brands.

A.S. Louken, which operates in 11 countries, will launch its brand development services through this intensive program with hopes of eventually assisting local businessmen in successful brand building that will particularly impact on  the country’s franchisors and retailers that plan to expand globally via a strengthened brand.

Lim said in his many years of experience, he discovered that “brands can always find a distinctive space, no matter how bloody the competition is.”

Lim firmly advocates brand-driven focus that emanates from the founder or owner and believes that brand building is always “top-down.” He expounded that “passion about the brand should come from the top.”

â€œThe brand must have a purpose in the mind of the founder. It must have a strong contribution in propagating a message that will influence the mind of a consumer,” he said.

The two-day intensive workshop aims to teach CEOs how to develop their brand vision and apply strategies on how to cascade core brand messages to their own people and customers.

Samie Lim, chairman emeritus of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), as well as chairman of U-Franchise Sales and Management, Inc. and Francorp Philippines, urged local CEOs to attend the Brand Mastery Programme for CEOs.  “We want Filipino brands to become Asian brands, hoping they will be the champions of tomorrow,” he said.

The event is held in cooperation with Francorp, PFA, PRA and PLDT-SME.  For inquiries, call U-Franchise Sales and Management at tel: 638-3149 to 50 local 111 or 116; 634-3717, 634-0586; Mobile: 0917-881-6999, 0920-983-0247 or Email: ufranchise@gmail.com.
