MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices is holding an MCLE-accredited seminar entitled, “Best Practices In Corporate Housekeeping: The Experts’ Guide On How to Be An Effective Corporate Secretary†on Thursday and Friday, April 18 & 19, 2013 at The Peninsula Hotel, Makati City. This special pioneering program teaches board directors, corporate secretaries, assistant corporate secretaries and lawyers the knowledge and professional skills on how to be an effective corporate secretary and how to perform the functions of corporate housekeeping. The term “corporate housekeeping†refers to the multitude of services that a corporate secretary (who could be a lawyer or a non-lawyer) need to perform for a corporate entity. The program will feature lawyer Tristan A. Catindig (A.B., cum laude, U.P. 1962; LL.B., cum laude, U.P. 1966; LL.M., Harvard Law School, Harvard University scholar, 1969) who has been in corporate law practice for more than 40 years, 26 years of which were with the largest law firm in the Philippines, SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, where he was senior partner and head, corporate services department. The second lecturer will be lawyer Jason Nalupta, partner of the Tan Venturanza Valdez Law Office.
