Italian men’s wear maker plans to open 4 new stores in Phl

Louella Desiderio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Italian men’s wear brand Antony Morato is opening three to four stores in the country this year to take advantage of the rising purchasing power of Filipino consumers.

Brand manager Pamela Cristina De Jesus told reporters during the brand’s launch, that a new stores will open in Glorietta Mall in Makati City next month.

The brand is still looking for locations for other stores.

The brand’s first store in the country  which  is located in Alabang Town Center (ATC) in Muntinlupa City, opened in November last year.

The brand intends to increase its presence in the country amid favorable economic prospects which encourage consumer spending.

The good results seen with the opening of its first store likewise supports the brand’s expansion plan.

“We had good sales (last year)...We met our target and we exceeded it by 20 percent,” De Jesus said.

She also said the brand has already gained some loyal customers.

“At first, we were afraid because it is all men’s line. It is easier to grab people when there is a ladies line but we have good feedback in our ATC store,” she said.

“We’re starting to create loyal customers... You can see when you go to the store that the same people are coming in,” she added.

Established in 2007 in Italy, the brand offers a wide range of stylish apparel for men between the ages of 18 to 45 years old.

The brand offers trendy clothes that are comfortable and easy to wear at competitive prices.

Antony Morato has 30 mono-brand stores in different parts of Europe, Asia and South America, as well as in multi-brand stores in more than 50 countries.
