MANILA, Philippines - HP announced yesterday updates on how it redefines data storage simplicity with single architecture for enterprises of all sizes.
Designed for virtualized, cloud and big data retention environments, HP's latest Converged Storage porfolio include the new HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage, HP StoreAll Storage and HP StoreOnce Backup product offerings.
"3PAR now has midrange and enterprise under one platform. Our customers now don't have to sacrifice ease of use with enterprise features or midrange without the enterprise features. And so we have one platform from midrange all the way to Tier 1," said Charles Ty, business manager of HP Storage Philippines.
Ty said HP's solutions aim to enable organizations using virtualization, or any customers looking for massive consolidation, to double up their virtual machine density.
HP reported many organizations waste as much as 70 percent of their budgets on capacity that is not actually storing data while administrators struggle to manage dozens of disparate storage architectures. This creates a rigid sprawling infrastructure that often forces organizations to choose between features and affordability.
In 2011, HP announced Converged Storage to address legacy storage limitations exposed by the growth of human information, infrastructure convergence and the emergence of IT-as-a-Service data centers.
