PFA slates seminar on wise franchise investment

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) is holding a series of seminars to make sure Filipino entrepreneurs who wish to get into franchising are well-informed of the ins and outs of the industry and will not be conned by pseudo franchisers.

PFA president Elizabeth ‘Yvette’ Pardo- Orbeta said through these seminars, they hope to educate more Filipinos on wise franchise investments and encourage them to deal only with legitimate franchise brands so they will get good value for their hard-earned money.

“PFA has been very active in promoting franchising as a responsible method of doing business, especially with the challenges brought about by franchise scams.  We want to protect the good reputation franchising has established and not let it get marred by some wayward business practices,” Orbeta emphasized.

PFA has scheduled a franchise seminar on “How to Invest in the Right Franchise Wisely” on Nov. 29 at the PFA Franchise Training Center in San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.  It is in line with the Association’s monthly series of seminars held every last Friday of the month.

The seminar series is also part of PFA’s advocacy to promote franchising as a tool for economic development as well as its public awareness campaign to educate the public on wise investment and financial literacy.

The half-day “How to Invest in the Right Franchise Wisely” seminar will feature talks from a pool of franchise experts who will discuss the trends and opportunities in Philippine franchising, and selecting and buying the right franchise.
